BenAlliance was born in 2011, founded in this internet-shopping age in an effort to provide individuals, families and employer groups with a more consultative, less confusing approach to the search for health, accident and life insurance and annuity planning.

J. Lea Weaver

Founder / President

J. Lea Weaver has 19 years in the insurance industry, 6 of those as a series 7 registered financial adviser. She founded BenAlliance understanding the service, strategy and compliance gaps in the small to mid-sized business marketplace. Fixing her goals on developing an all-in-one solution, she developed a partnership with HRO Advisors in order to consolidate all benefit offerings, payroll and HR into one, painless solution, allowing clients the PEO (Professional Employer Organization) experience without being locked in to one particular PEO master health plan.

The payroll, HR and benefits and compliance “hands-off” experience are managed, and the client responsibilities are monthly, but minimal, taking only minutes per month to manage everything. BenAlliance handles the rest.

Lea (the J is for Jennifer, she keeps it out of respect for her deceased parents, but goes by Lea – pronounced Lee) has a deep respect for client service, a profound attention to detail, a servant’s heart that extends to her leadership style and a clinical strategical method to her health portfolio proposals that differs for every client’s needs.

CEO

Kerney Laday is the CEO of BenAlliance and HRO Advisors. These businesses are national employee benefits and HR Outsourcing advisors and brokers.   The companies’ solutions are designed to increase efficiency, mitigate risks, improve earnings, and to attract and retain top talent.

Kerney received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Nazareth College in Rochester, New York. He enjoys traveling, playing golf and tennis. Kerney has lived in France and Germany and currently resides in Plano, Texas. He has 3 daughters, and has been married 34 years to his wife, Marcia Laday.

Internal Account Executive

Skie Shipman is a wife and mother of three, and joined us in September of 2020 after having worked in the health care industry for 12 years. After just a few years as a nurse’s assistant, she went back to school to become a nurse, and worked her way up to management in that industry before desiring a career change. Health and life insurance were compelling to her because she found that the information correlated well with her practice in working with providers, facilities, carriers and patients.

We are so proud to have added Skie as an internal account executive of BenAlliance. We count her prior experience in, and first-hand knowledge of the health care industry as a huge asset, and we are so excited that the care and dedication she offered her patients is the same kind of care you can expect to receive as our client.
